Aims to align the body structure in relationship to a vertical line of gravity. As your body approaches this more upright stature, you will notice that it requires less effort to stand and move. You will feel more relaxed and energetic, uplifted.
I am a Certified Advanced Rolfer® and Rolfing® Movement Practitioner with over 30 years of clinical experience and 27 years of teaching experience. I believe that mastery is the place where logic, knowledge and intuition converge, and as a practitioner, I combine a rigorous scientific understanding of the discipline with an open-minded, intuitive approach. As a teacher, I enjoy building a strong framework of the science, theory and philosophy of Rolfing®, and encouraging students to investigate and master these concepts through play and personal exploration.
I am a senior faculty member for the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® involved in teaching all aspects of our Basic training, Rolf Movement, and Advanced Trainings.
Over the years I have studied a variety of modalities with a wide range of teachers. These include Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Nerve & Vascular Manipulation, joint biomechanics, Somatic Experiencing and other approaches to working with trauma, as well as a variety of movement practices. As my understanding of the human body
grows, I feel an ever deeper sense of awe and fascination.
